DEVELOPMENT OF LEGAL MECHANISMS FOR THE PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

This article examines legal guarantees for intellectual property protection in the current socio-economic environment. It analyzes national and international legal mechanisms for the protection of copyright, patent, and related rights, as well as their role in stimulating innovation and economic development. Particular attention is paid to improving legislation and balancing the interests of copyright holders and society. An analysis of law enforcement practices reveals key issues, including the insufficient level of legal awareness among entrepreneurs, the limited development of the institution of patent attorneys, the underuse of mediation mechanisms, and difficulties in protecting copyright in the digital environment. Special attention is also given to the liability of legal entities and the need to expand its scope. The paper offers a number of practical recommendations aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of legal guarantees for intellectual property protection, including improving the incentive system, developing digital control tools, and strengthening institutional mechanisms. It concludes that further adaptation of legal regulation to modern technological challenges is necessary.
