This article examines in detail the problem of ecology, which is rapidly deteriorating and has become one of the most pressing problems of all countries today. Also, the process of implementing the norms of international environmental law into the national legislative system in the Republic of Uzbekistan will be comprehensively analyzed. The article examines the theoretical and legal foundations, mechanisms, and practical problems of implementing international environmental law into the national legislative system. In particular, the reflection of international environmental obligations in the national legal system, the institutional and regulatory aspects of their coordination, as well as their interrelationship with the principles of sustainable development are highlighted. During the analysis, based on a comparative legal analysis, such problems as gaps in national legislation in this area, weak institutional coordination, ineffectiveness of economic mechanisms, shortcomings in the mechanisms for implementing international conventions, and insufficient personnel potential in the field of environmental protection were studied. In addition, the article provides theoretical recommendations for strengthening the implementation process based on foreign experience. In particular, the need to correctly apply and adapt the norms of environmental legislation of a number of countries to our laws was noted. The study developed proposals and recommendations aimed at increasing the effectiveness of national environmental policy, ensuring environmental safety, and fully fulfilling international obligations.
