GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND AREAS OF ACTIVITY OF NON-GOVERNMENTAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS IN THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS (BASED ON ORGANIZATIONAL EXAMPLES)

This article analyzes the significance and areas of activity of non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) within the human rights protection system. Furthermore, it categorizes the activity areas of human rights NGOs into distinct groups accompanied by specific examples. Using the example of human rights NGOs operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the paper highlights their core goals, tasks, legal foundations, and social functions in society. In particular, it scientifically analyzes the activities of organizations specialized in protecting the rights of women, youth, children, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and persons living with HIV/AIDS. Moreover, the article reveals the role of NGOs in developing civil society, exercising public oversight, raising legal literacy among the population, and strengthening cooperation with state authorities. The research is conducted on the basis of normative-legal acts, international conventions, and practical examples. Additionally, several proposals have been formulated to enhance the significance and further boost the activity of NGOs in the human rights protection system. The findings demonstrate that NGOs serve as a vital institution in ensuring human rights and strengthening societal stability.
