The article analyzes the issues of the classical definition of mixed jurisdictions. Today, there are several legal systems on the legal map of the world, namely the Romano-Germanic legal system, common law, religious law, and mixed legal systems. This article analyzes mixed legal systems, that is, legal systems in which two or more legal systems work together. This article is devoted to the fact that studies of mixed legal systems reveal broader comparative topics of classification of legal systems, whether and how borrowing can take place, the quality of law to which borrowing leads, the relationship between civil law and common law in the European context and the role that language can play an important role in comparative analysis and legal development. Foreign experience in the implementation of two legal systems in one state in Lausanne, Hong Kong, Quebec, Malta, and other countries of the world are also analysed in the article. As a result of these analyses, several proposals and recommendations were developed for the introduction of English law in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
