ON THE ISSUE OF LEGAL SUPPORT FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING IN UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

The article examines the issues of legal support for strategic planning in the Republic of Uzbekistan, gives a theoretical description of the legal regulation of this type of government activity, and analyzes the state, needs, and trends of legal support for strategic planning. The process of strategic planning needs appropriate regulation and legal formalization. Legal regulation in this area should be developed on a scientific and methodological basis. Therefore, the issue of developing scientific approaches to the legal regulation of strategic planning is an urgent scientific-theoretical problem of legal science. The following methods were used in the study: structural-logical, comparative-legal, descriptive, and system-structural, as well as other methods of scientific cognition, collection, and analysis of scientific and practical material. The work provides a brief analysis of the foreign practice of strategic planning, including its legal support. The following main directions of legal support for strategic planning are considered: doctrinal, methodological, and legislative. Based on the analysis, recommendations were developed for the development and adoption of the relevant laws and regulations. The conclusion about the objective need for the speedy adoption of the law “On Strategic Planning” in Uzbekistan is substantiated.
