ACADEMICIAN SHAVKAT URAZAYEV AS AN OUTSTANDING SCIENTIST AND PUBLIC MAN: A VIEW THROUGH THE PRISM OF TIME AND EVENTS

The article is devoted to the activities of the outstanding legal scholar academician Urazaev Sh.Z., who for a long time conducted teaching and organizational work at Tashkent State University of Law (former Tashkent State University). Urazaev Sh.Z. conducted research in the field of theory and history of state building in Uzbekistan. He was the Chairman of the Constitutional Supervision Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Acting Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis for Human Rights, Deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As the head of the working group on the development of the draft Constitution of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan, he took an active part in its development. The article considers the great work of academician Urazaev Sh.Z. in the training of highly qualified legal personnel, and young researchers. Moreover, an analysis of the provisions enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 1977 was carried out in the context of modern transformations in the state and public life of the country.
