Abstract

In the context of sustainable development, important priority issues of the state environmental policy being pursued in our country to comply with the established requirements for environmental standardization require implementation in accordance with current market requirements. In essence, environmental standards are technical and legal documents expressing quantitative and qualitative indicators of the state of natural objects, having legal significance and all the characteristics of legal documents, according to which the legal regime for the use of certain types of natural resources determines the environmental rules of activity in areas not related to the use of nature. This scientific article highlights the essence of environmental standardization, its features, and its significance; analyzes from a scientific and theoretical point of view the current state of legislation on the development of this area and legal issues related to the prospects for its improvement; and also puts forward the author’s proposals in this regard. Also, the best foreign experience and legislation on this issue were studied, and proposals and recommendations for its development in our country were developed. At the same time, the environmental standard, the system of environmental regulations and environmental regulation, and the legal regulation of relations on environmental standardization are highlighted, and relevant recommendations aimed at improving this area are put forward.
